This acoustic guitar has been expertly crafted in La Patrie, Canada. The Seagull Excursion Walnut has a Select Pressure Tested Solid Spruce top. The top is the part of the instrument that is most influential on the sound. It is therefore important that the best quality of solid wood is used. Seagull Guitars test each top for stiffness and harmonic vibration. This ensures maximum tone and projection from the instrument. This will also make sure your acoustic guitar last longer as well. Another feature of the Seagull Excursion Walnut is that is has a compound curve on the top. The top is arched just above the soundhole which adds integrity to the structure. By doing this you can use a slightly thinner top and lighter bracing. Increased power and projection are achieved by leaving the top flatter below the soundhole, particularly around the bridge area. This bracing on this acoustic guitar has been created from Adirondack Spruce, which is a light and strong wood. It has also been scalloped and carved to match the top of the guitar.
