Very cool early 80,s Sewa electric guitar built in Japan. The guitar is setup nice and low and sounds good. There is a little noise in the elctronics most of which went away from me just turning the knobs back and forth as well as the 3 way switch and it is pretty minimal now and will get better I'm sure. There are signs of use, scratches and minor dings but overall in nice condition for an old guitar. The guitar has the original hard case that says Seiwa on it and in good shape except the handle is broken on one side, you can see it in the first picture.
So speculation is that these guitars were built in the Fujigen plant which was producing guitars for Ibanez. Seiwa, a piano company, bought some of the banez parts and had them build these guitars only for a few years. '80-84' I am told. I have also heard it may have been the Matsumoku factory.
Either way, it is a pretty nice guitar from a very reputable Japanese factory.
